Bluford Shops announces plans for a series of N-scale models reproducing International Car Company’s bay window caboose prototypes. This steel body caboose first arrived on North American railroads in the early 1950s. The new models from Bluford Shops will provide for differences in appearance for these cabooses, including variations in bay window styles. The models will possess road-accurate detailing, including appropriate ladders and running boards for each version. The fully assembled N-scale caboose model will come with magnetically operating knuckle couplers, Fox Valley Models-made metal wheels, wire grab irons, flush-fitting window material, and proper weight. Two road numbers are planned for each announced road name. The models list for $39.95 each.
The initial production will provide Chicago & Eastern Illinois, Chicago & North Western, Conrail, Delaware & Hudson, Erie Lackawanna, Louisville & Nashville, New York Central, Nickel Plate Road, Rock Island, Southern Railway, Union Pacific, and Western Pacific.
