Bowser announces new Boxcar run

Bowser continues to add interesting paint schemes to it collection of 40-foot steel boxcar models. The production planned for Fall 2021 delivery includes two offerings with “blue coal” emblems.

Bowser announces new Boxcar run

HO — A new collection of Bowser’s ready-to-run boxcars will arrive for Fall 2021 delivery. The group includes interesting and uncommon decorations sure to entice collectors. The coming Delaware, Lackawanna & Western (above) and Delaware & Hudson (below) models feature “blue coal” emblems. and will be offered in three road numbers. Another eye-catching release will be the green Union Carbide/Linde Liquefied Gases boxcar.

Bowser’s coming Chicago, Burlington & Quincy and Canadian National releases will include differing lettering/decoration on each side of the model. Other road names planned for this release include Boston & Maine (McGinnis blue with black door scheme); Chicago Great Western (Boxcar Red); Delaware & Hudson (yellow with blue lettering); Duluth, Winnipeg & Pacific (Boxcar Red with green doors); Great Northern; New Haven (McGinnis red scheme); Southern Pacific (Boxcar Red with sans serif road name and Texas & New Orleans reporting marks); and Western Pacific.

ABOVE: This production of 40-foot boxcars will provide single- and double-sliding door examples with variations in the door styles.

This fully assembled boxcar model will coming in versions with single sliding door (Superior- or Youngstown-style door depending on road name) and double-door examples (Duluth, Winnipeg & Pacific and Great Northern). Bowser will provide 33-inch metal wheels and knuckle couplers for these $28.95 boxcar models.
