Canadian National special liveries among coming HO GEVOs from InterMountain Railway

HO ScaleInterMountain Railway Co. announces a new production of its General Electric (GE) Evolution Series or GEVO Tier 4 diesel locomotives. The model will include details reproducing recent revisions to the appearance of this popular six-axle diesel locomotive. The fully assembled model will come with Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder (a standard DC plug is available to buyers on request) and versions will be available with DCC and ESU’s LokSound/LokPilot audio system.
The run will reproduce several recent Canadian National (CN) prototypes decked out in special liveries.

For its century in operation celebration, CN applied a red boxed “100 CN” logo to several units. InterMountain plans to produce four examples (3108, 3221, 3237, and 3242) with CN 3108 accurately differing from the other numbers with its inclusion of a black cab roof and no circle emblem on the sides of the unit near its front, as found on the other three releases.

ABOVE: Four CN heritage schemes will be offered: BC Rail; Elgin, Joliet & Eastern; Illinois Central; and Wisconsin Central. Each (as per prototype) is a single road number release.

There will be two road numbers offered reproducing CN’s veterans scheme GEVOs. CN 3015 will feature a square exhaust section, while CN 3233 will come with an angled exhaust (both matching prototypes). The models will accurately depict the application of English on the engineer’s side of the unit and French lettering down the fireman’s side of the locomotive.
