Third Volume in Narrow Gauge Album Series

BOOK – A third volume in the Narrow Gauge Album series of books is available: Narrow Gauge in the Americas. This new 120-page publication features a collection of contemporary images of narrow gauge railroading. You’ll visit New England and Pennsylvania operations, which include the world famous East Broad Top. Heading west, a large portion of the book’s pages are devoted to Cumbres & Toltec and Durango & Silverton operations in the southern section of Colorado and just into New Mexico on the Cumbres & Toltec’s line. Reaching the Pacific Northwest, the book shows eye-catching scenes on Sumpter Valley Railway. Then north for a visit to White Pass & Yukon’s three-foot operations in Alaska and neighboring British Columbia. South American narrow gauge is represented by several lines in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and other exotic locations.

Most images occupy a single page and the large size presentation is appreciated for admiring the scenes and examining the details. The book measures approximately 8-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches and informative captions narrate the journey for the reader. Narrow Gauge in the Americas was published in the U.K.; buyers will find it available from Ron’s Books among sources in North America.
