HO scale – ScaleTrains.com announces a new diesel locomotive project for its HO offerings. The models will reproduce General Electric’s (GE) early production “Evolution Series” or GEVO prototypes introduced to North American railroading in 2002. The new GEVO models will come in Rivet Counter and Operator editions. ScaleTrains.com already offers hobbyists the current Tier 4 GEVO in HO and N scales.

Among the Rivet Counter releaes, ScaleTrains.com will present a trio of specially painted CSX units (911 “First Responders,” 1776 “Armed Forces,” and 3194 “Law Enforcement”), along with regular livery CSX (YN3 scheme). The other road names coming for this Rivet Counter rendition will include BNSF (Heritage III), Canadian National (with URL under “wet noodle”), Kansas City Southern (Belle Heritage), and Norfolk Southern (white background number boards and “horsehead” logo). As you’ve come to expect from ScaleTrains.com, the releases produced for its HO-scale Rivet Counter ES44s will include road-accurate details and correct production phase characteristics. For example, BNSF units will accurately depict the road’s ES44C4 prototypes.

The manufacturer’s ES44 GEVO offerings will include a budget-priced Operator release. The same regular livery BNSF, Canadian National, CSX, Kansas City Southern, and Norfolk Southern road names will be offered for this model. ScaleTrains.com will offer buyers their choice of standard DC or sound-equipped with Digital Command Control (DCC) electronics as options on both Rivet Counter and Operator ES44 releases. The DCC-sound models will employ ESU’s LokSound 5 audio system.
