Atlas Model Railroad Company celebrates its 100th anniversary with the release of a special passenger set in HO scale.

Atlas Marks 100 Years with HO and N Commuter Train Releases

HO Scale N scaleAtlas will mark its 100th anniversary with a special release in HO and N scales of its modern commuter passenger car models and sleek ALP-45DP locomotive. Planned for third quarter 2024 delivery, the fully assembled Atlas Master ALP-45DP locomotive (shown at the top of the page) will be available in Silver (sound-ready, standard DC) and Gold (Digital Command Control and sound-equipped with ESU-made electronics) decorated for the hobby company’s anniversary in a fantasy black, silver, and red livery. The decoration, also shared across coming multi-level commuter car models, includes Atlas’ 100th Anniversary logo with diamond. The locomotive will include New Jersey Transit (NJT) markings and will carry road number 4503. The Silver edition HO release lists for $179.95 and Gold version retails for $289.95. The N-scale ALP-45DP locomotive in this special run lists for $159.95 (Silver, standard DC) and $269.95 (Gold, DCC-sound).

You will also find Atlas’ ALP-45D locomotive sold in a collector-series set with multi-level cab car and trailer, and Atlas will offer a 3-pack of multi-level cars (in HO and N) with a cab car, trailer, and trailer with restroom. All these passenger car models will feature the manufacturer’s anniversary decoration.

Also coming in this production, Atlas will offer New Jersey Transit paint schemes that have not previously been produced for these HO and N locomotives. NJT’s “First Responders” and “Rail Operations Anniversary” locomotives are coming in this new production. The ALP-45DP will also be offered in Exo-patch scheme, as will the line’s multi-level passenger cars.
