First look at KR Models HO-scale Shay steam locomotive

KR Models is progressing with its first steam locomotive aimed at the North American market. This Shay-type steam locomotive release will be offered in standard DC, with a silent DCC decoder, or with DCC-sound installed. This image, provided to Model Railroad News by KR Models’ Keith Revell, show an early working model sample. The production run is being scheduled to match reservations for the following Shay offerings, Arcata 7, Canadian Pacific 111, Merrill & Ring Lumber Co. 3, Southwestern Portland Cement Co. 12, Sugar Pine Lumber Co. 10, and Westside Lumber Company 6.
