Walthers will bring back its HO-scale SD9 diesel locomotive model for a Fall 2023 arrival with standard DC (MSRP: $219.98) and ESU-LokSound 5 DCC and sound (MSRP: $319.98) offerings. The road names include Chicago, Burlington & Quincy (early black and gray scheme); Chicago & Illinois Midland; Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range (two schemes); Great Northern; and Southern Pacific (“Black Widow” and two eras for “Bloody Nose” scheme).

Walthers will bring back its 24-foot Minnesota Taconite ore car 4-packs (MSRP: $109.98) with road names complimenting the SD9 offerings. The company’s International wide-vision and regular cupola caboose will also enjoy matching roads in this release.
