Southern Pacific’s A-50-6 Boxcar is a kit from Pre-Size Model Specialties in S scale

S Scale 1:64Pre-Size Model Specialties introduces an S-scale craftsman-level kit to provide materials to build a Southern Pacific (SP) A-50-6 boxcar (PS593).
The SP prototype fleet consisted of 1,200 examples of this 50-foot single-sheathed sliding door-and-a-half boxcar. The freight car dates to 1923 and served the railroad during steam and the years of transition to diesel in the mid 20th century.

The kit includes a one-piece cast-resin body shell with accurate Z-bracing design, separate floor/underframe with parts provided for brake and air line details, wood-type running board for the roof, wire grab irons, additional 3D-printed details, waterslide Southern Pacific decals, and you will build Pre-Size Model Specialties’ SP A-50-6 boxcar replica with the assistance of a nearly 20-page illustrated guide. The kit does not include trucks or couplers, allowing you to select your preferred equipment. You can page through the instruction guide, order this kit, and see the rest of the company’s offerings by visiting Pre-Size Model Specialties online.
