TrainWorld will have an exclusive release among a new group of Broadway Limited Imports’ SD40-2 diesel locomotive models.

Florida, Gulf & Atlantic (FGAR) is a small railroad operating 373 miles of track in Florida’s panhandle. RailUSA purchased this line from CSX which runs a main line from the Jacksonville area near the state’s east coast west to Florida’s capital city of Tallahassee. In addition FGAR operates its Bainbridge Branch out of Tallahasse to Attapulgus, which like it’s main connects with CSX.

The road’s motive power is a mix of secondhand Electro-Motive Division “Dash 2” prototypes, including four-axle GP38-2, GP40-2, and more than a half dozen six-axle SD40-2s.

TrainWorld’s HO-scale Florida, Gulf & Atlantic SD40-2 will be built exclusively for the New York hobby dealer by Broadway Limited Imports. The fully assembled model will come decorated in FGAR’s red, white, and blue U.S. flag livery with two road numbers offered: 7156 and 8143. The model will come with factory-installed DCC and sound.
