N scaleRapido Trains announces an all-new N-scale freight car model, which will reproduce a popular Procor 20,000-gallon prototype. Products Tank Line was founded in the early 1950s and renamed Procor in the early 1960s and built tank cars in Oakville, Ontario. Union Tank Car Company was the parent of this Canadian builder. Procor introduced its multi-purpose GP20 single-dome tank car in 1969 and built examples through 1984. This nearly 51-foot tank car came in various styles (including 70- and 100-ton editions). Procor’s fleet totaled nearly 1,000 examples and these tank cars served across North America.

The initial run is expected to arrive during 2022 and will be offered as single tank car models and in 4-packs with unique road numbers.

Rapido’s model will be a finely detailed reproduction with photo-etched metal walkways, detailed vent stacks, loading hatches, air tanks, and braking equipment features. The fully assembled N-scale tank car will ride on metal wheels and will come with Rapido’s own knuckle couplers.

These tank cars will be offered as single model releases and will also come in 4-packs. The first release is planned for 2022 delivery. Check Rapido’s website for more information.
