The N Scale Enthusiast will have Santa Fe’s Bicentennial-dress Electro-Motive Division (EMD) SD45-2s available during early 2022. The model will come to The N Scale Enthusiast from InterMountain Railway Co., who will have its own production of N-scale SD45-2 available in other road names at the same time.

The fully assembled release will arrive in a standard DC version, a release with factory-installed Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder, and a third version with DCC and sound. The DCC-sound offerings will feature a new ESU LokSound 5 Select micro slide-in decoder unit. Non-sound DCC models will possess a similar design ESU decoder board. The standard DC models will come with a slide-in design board that can be swapped out for compatible DCC decoder units of your choice.
