HO adds its second release for its Kit Classics series. When debuted, the company introduced its Kit Classics series with an HO-scale Evans 53-foot double-plug door boxcar. The series is designed to provide the fun of building a kit, maintain a low price, and give operators and collectors a solid model to enjoy. The series expands with a reproduction of Chicago, Burlington & Quincy’s (CB&Q) Class GM-6A gondola. The road built 200 of these 52’6” rib-side gons at its Havelock Shops near Lincoln, Neb., in 1967 and 1968.

The first run includes Burlington Northern, CB&Q, Chicago & North Western, Conrail, Norfolk & Western, and Soo Line. Each model will come in three road numbers. The road not pictured feature black cars with white reporting marks. You can order these kits now from and from its participating dealers.
