Thrall Centerbeam from ExactRail

HO scale – ExactRail delivered a new group of its Thrall Centerbeam Flatcar models. The highly detailed reproduction comes fully assembled and is available in six road names: BNSF, Burlington Northern, Milwaukee Road, Northwestern Oklahoma (ex-Western Pacific), and Union Pacific (yellow with red lettering and 1985 brown repaint). Multiple road names are available for each road name/paint scheme.

ABOVE: Carrying NOKL reporting marks, ExactRail’s Northwestern Oklahoma release represents a car originally in Western Pacific’s fleet.

This well-detailed HO-scale model comes with separate COTS and ACI placards (depending on road name), separately applied wire grab irons, brake rods, and coupler cut levers (matching the devices of the prototype for loop or handle style). On the ends of the car, you’ll find Kadee #58 metal couplers housed in narrow-style draft box and etched-metal Morton crossover platforms mounted above the couplers. The 63-foot car rides on ExactRail’s own 100-ton ASF “Ride Control” trucks with smooth-rolling 36-inch metal wheels. The model will navigate turns down to 22-inch radius.
